Le wire of Frank Connor, senior police officer models which put all its life at the service of the law, is reached of a fatal disease. Only a Clerc's Office of spinal cord compatible can save it. McCabe, hardened criminal, killer condemned to detention with perpetuity, have the adequate genetic combination, it is the ideal donor, the only likely one to achieve this miracle. Frank persuades his superiors to transfer the killer in a hospital from San Francisco. McCabe benefits from it to escape, after having killed several innocents.
